Note: You must be working in eMagic (eMagic.com) to access the GFE.
From the Loan Folder or Loan App, select Good Faith Estimate from the dropdown menu in the top left corner of the screen.
The GFE data entry page is organized by tabbed sections.

This first tab is where you complete data entry for fields specific to the GFE document. For data consistency, certain fields are auto-populated (A) with information from the Loan App. In order to change these fields, you must first modify the Loan App. You may apply a closing cost template (B), populating specified fields with pre-determined values from the template selected. Remaining data entry fields are organized by numbered sections. Complete the fields as appropriate for the loan, and select the corresponding checkbox to the right of the item when the following conditions apply:
PFC = Prepaid finance charges (item affecting the APR)
POC = Item paid outside of closing
PBS = Item paid by the seller
FHA = FHA allowable item
This tab provides totals based on individual fields from the Loan App, demonstrating estimates for fees/costs the borrower may incur at closing.
A closing cost template is a set of pre-determined closing costs/fees, created by authorized individuals at your organization, for use in streamlining the GFE data entry process. You can view existing closing cost templates or create a new one.
Access the Closing Cost Template in two ways:
(A) from the eMagic Main Menu by selecting Forms > Templates > Closing Cost Template.

(B) from Loan Folder or Loan App, select "Closing Cost Template" from the dropdown menu in the top left corner of the screen.
Select an existing template from the dropdown menu to apply a selected set of fees to the loan you're working on, or create a new template by selecting Create New Template.
Click Delete to remove a template. WARNING: This action removes the template for your entire organization, not just at the loan level.
Click Save to save your changes.
Click Close to access the GFE Data Entry page for the loan you're working on.
Notes:
Values may be changed on the loan level, even after applying a template; however, the template values will not be updated by the loan value changes.
Options 1 and 2 are available only when your profile is authorized to perform the action. Contact your company's Administrator regarding specific access permissions.
WARNING: If you have not completed the GFE data entry prior to viewing and/or printing the document itself, the information will not be accurate. GFE data entry must be complete to ensure accurate information on the GFE document.
From the Loan Folder or GFE Data Entry screen, select View/Print GFE from the Loan Documents menu in the top right corner of the screen.
Select whether to print an Originator or Lender version of the GFE document. In most cases, you will select 'Originator'; however, if you are a lender, correspondent lender, or retail organization, you will want to select 'Investor' to ensure the correct RESPA verbiage displays on the document. Make sure your printer settings are set for legal paper and click View/Print GFE.
Use the toolbar to select Print and click OK.
Trio users: On the Loan Folder page, under Loan Folder Actions, click "Add GFE" from the Trio actions menu. Your institution must be set up for Trio, and the loan must already have a Trio folder.
