Collect your borrower's consent to receive disclosures electronically through eMagic's secure Message Center.

Compose New Request

There are two ways to request eConsent from a borrower for a particular loan.

  1. From the Loan Folder, go to Actions menu > Message Center > Request eConsent.

You will automatically be launched to the Message Center's "Compose eConsent Request" screen in a new window.

    1. Select the borrower(s) applicable to the loan.

    2. Enter the borrower email address(es).

    3. If you would like to receive eConsent status email notifications, or have them sent to any other parties on the loan, select the applicable checkboxes and verify/enter the corresponding email addresses.

NOTE: Your email address will automatically populate based on what you have entered in the Preferences section of your User Profile. Click here to learn how to update your email address.

    4. Enter your subject and message. The borrower will receive an email notification containing this message and a prompt to either Accept or Decline the request to receive documents electronically. The borrower will need to login to the Message Center to respond using the ID and information provided in the email.

    5. Click "Post Message" to send the request to the borrower.

  2. From the Loan Folder, go to Actions menu > Message Center > Send/Read Messages.

You will automatically be launched to the Message Center's "Compose New Message" in a new window.

Click here to learn how to request eConsent for a particular loan from the "Compose New Message" screen.

View eConsent Status

If you have selected to receive eConsent status email notifications, you will be notified via email when the borrower has Accepted or Declined the request.

You can view the eConsent status on the Loan Messages and Documents page within the Message Center. If the agreement has been Accepted, the "eConsent Agreement" under Loan Documents > Status will display as "Received." If the borrower has declined to receive disclosures electronically, no documents will be available.

You may also view the loan's eConsent status in the upper left hand corner of the Messages and Documents page, as well as on the Message Center Loans page.

Additionally, the eConsent Status displays on both the eMagic Main Menu and the Loan Folder, showing whether or not it has been Requested, Accepted or Declined.

Aging notifications are sent each night to the emails indicated on the request. The notifications include a list of loans (if applicable) for which the eConsent Status is still "Requested," meaning the borrower has not yet responded to the request.

Aging notification emails will continue to be delivered until either the borrower Accepts or Declines the request or until the time since the initial request reaches three days (whichever is sooner).
