Import and maintain a database of your contacts, enter prospect information for calculating different loan proposals, and easily convert lead information to an active loan within eMagic.
There are two types of contacts you can use within eMagic: client contacts and business partner contacts. Client contacts are your potential customers. Business partner contacts are the business people you commonly work with during the mortgage loan process.
Create Contacts
There are many ways to create a contact:
Selecting Contacts > Create Contact > Client from the Main Menu or within Contact Manager
When uploading or keying in a loan
When creating leads
Loan Folder > Loan Profile section (click on Contacts icon with red plus sign
Import (Client Contacts only)
To create a Business Partner Contact, such as an escrow agent, you need to first create a Business Partner to associate the contact with. Select Contacts > Create Contact > Business Partner. After creating and saving a Business Partner, click Create Contact or Create Multiple Contacts to add Business Partner Contacts to the company.
Search and View Contacts
Click on the Search tab. Select either Client or Business Partner. Enter the criteria and click Search.
Click the name to view the contact.
A Client Contact page will display the Client's contact information, and leads and loans associated with the Client. If there is a loan associated, click on the file ID number under the Associated Loans tab to access that loan.
A Business Partner Contact page will display the Business Partner's contact information and any individuals associated with the company.
Edit Contacts
Click on the pencil icon, modify the necessary information and click Save.
Convert Client Contacts to Leads
While viewing the Client Contact, convert the Client to a Lead by clicking on Create Lead. The lead will appear under the Associated Leads tab.
Delete Contacts
In the search results, check the box next to the contact name(s) and press Delete Checked.
Import/Export Client Contacts
Import and export Client Contacts into and from Contact Manager. (Not available for Business Partner Contacts at this time.)

Lead Manager allows you to store a database of prospects and their base loan information and easily convert that information into an active loan.
Create a Lead
There are many ways to create a lead:
Automatically imported from the MortgageApp loan application.
Selecting Leads > Create Lead or Create Multiple Leads from the Main Menu or within Lead Manager.
Main Menu > Origination tab > Create Lead/Loan > Create Lead.
Contact Manager > Click on the client contact's name > Create Lead.
Search Lead
Click on the Directory tab to search by last name initial or to view the entire list of leads.
To locate a specific lead, click on the Basic Search tab and enter the name.
Edit Lead
Lead Manager > Click on the pencil icon.
Edit the necessary information and click Save or Save/Close.
Create Custom Report for Leads
You may run a Custom Report on the leads, as long as you have access to those leads.

Add Lead Status
Choose from the following statuses: Hot, Warm, Cold, Dead, Incomplete, choose Blank for None or choose Other to enter your own. If you are a MortgageApp customer, there are default settings for your MortgageApp leads. Submitted MortgageApp leads are set to "Hot" and unsubmitted MortgageApp leads are set to "Incomplete."

Convert Lead to Loan
Lead Manager > Click on the pencil icon > Convert to Loan
The lead is removed from Lead Manager when it's converted to a loan.
Order Credit and Convert Lead to Loan
Click the Order Credit button. The lead will automatically be converted to a loan.
If you prefer not to convert the lead into a loan, you may download the 3.2 DU file to use in another system.

To reach the Loan Summary/Edit Lead screen, go to Main Menu > Lead Manager > click on the pencil icon.
Enter the necessary information to provide the prospect a quote. Click on the links to open the windows to enter additional information regarding income, housing expenses, proposed housing expenses, liabilities and mortgage insurance and rates. You also have the option of entering marketing information.
After editing the Loan Summary, you may convert it to a loan, order credit, or download the 3.2 DU file.
A Social Security number must be entered in order to convert a lead to a loan. The fields on the Loan App are auto-filled from the information in the Loan Summary.
