Initial TPO Sign Up | Lender Association | TPO Data Entry | View/Change your TPO

LP.com Express requires you to have a Freddie Mac TPO (Third Party Originator) ID and password associated to each lender you work with. Even if your company has an existing TPO ID, it needs to be associated with your lender(s) before you can order LP.com Express services.

Note to Retail Organizations/Affiliates: A TPO ID and password are NOT required when ordering LP.com Express services from your own eMagic storefront or site (powered by eMagic).

Does your company have a Freddie Mac TPO ID and password?

  • No - start with the Initial TPO Sign-Up
  • Yes - start with TPO Lender Association instructions
  • Not sure - Contact Freddie Mac Customer Service at 888.LPONWEB (888.576.6932) to find out. You will need your company name, address, tax identification number and the name of your primary business contact for Freddie Mac. Then complete the sign-up and/or lender association process as appropriate.

Initial TPO Sign-Up

  1. You will need the following information to complete the TPO sign-up process:

    • Your lender's Freddie Mac seller/servicer number (contact your lender representative)

    • Your company's Tax ID number or FIN (Federal Tax Identification Number)

    • Primary business contact information for the person slated to receive the TPO ID and password via e-mail

    • Business license information and existing credit repository relationship data

    • Signatory information (the officer or person of authority who will sign required documents)

  2. Use the link provided by your lender (via an LP.com Express notification e-mail or from the Main Menu of their site/storefront) to access the TPO sign-up form. Select "Third Party Originator" and "Sponsored Access" and click Continue. Under step #3 click "secure sign up form."

  3. Print the Transmittal Cover Sheet and credit agreements provided at the end of the sign-up process. Freddie Mac requires original signatures on the credit agreements, and encourages that the TPO number be written at the bottom of the first page of each credit agreement for reference.

  4. Mail the Transmittal Cover Sheet and signed credit agreements to:

  5. Freddie Mac will send your TPO information within 10 - 14 business days following receipt of your Transmittal Cover Sheet and signed credit agreements. Contact Freddie Mac directly with questions about your TPO sign-up: 888.LPONWEB (888.576.6932).

  6. When your TPO ID and password is received, continue with TPO Data Entry instructions. Note: For security reasons the TPO ID and password are sent separately. You will receive two e-mails. Instructions for changing your TPO password are included in the TPO ID e-mail.

TPO Lender Association

Use the same TPO ID and password for all your lenders! Whether you just signed up or are using an existing TPO ID, that TPO ID needs to be associated to each lender you work with.

  1. You will need the following information to complete the TPO lender association process:

    • Your lender's Freddie Mac seller/servicer number (contact your lender representative)

    • Your company's TPO ID

    • Your company's Tax ID or FIN (Federal Tax Identification Number)

  2. Use the link provided by your lender (via an LP.com Express notification e-mail or from the Main Menu of their site/storefront) to access the TPO sign-up form. Select "Third Party Originator" and "Sponsored Access" and click Continue. Under step #3 click "secure sign up form."

    Note: You may be required to submit credit agreements to complete the lender association process. If prompted, print the Transmittal Cover Sheet and credit agreements and mail to the address provided.

  3. Freddie Mac will send a confirmation e-mail when complete. Contact Freddie Mac directly with questions about your TPO sign-up: 888.LPONWEB (888.576.6932).

  4. When your confirmation is received, continue with the TPO Data Entry instructions.

TPO Data Entry Instructions

The first time you order an LP.com Express service, you will be prompted to enter your company's TPO ID and password. This information will be stored for future LP.com Express orders placed on lender sites powered by eMagic and eMagic.com.

  1. Select LP.com Express from the Automated Underwriting drop-down menu and click Continue.

  2. Click Go to Sign Up.

  3. Enter your company's TPO ID and password. Click Save.

View/Change your TPO Number

  1. Select LP.com Express from the Automated Underwriting drop-down menu.

  2. Click Service Information.

  3. In the AU Forwarding section, click the Loan Prospector® (LP.com Express*) link.

  4. Click the Click Here link to open the LP Express Signup screen.

  5. Enter your valid TPO Number and Password (assigned to you by Freddie Mac) and click Save.
