Before the advent of email and the web, people communicated over the Internet via message boards (forum, bulletin board, discussion board). A person would log on to a message board and post a message for others to read. A different person would log on, read the message and post a reply.

The eMagic Message Center is similar to a message board with some added features. Each eMagic loan has its own, private eMagic Message Center message boards. Only parties invited by an eMagic member can access the eMagic Message Center for a particular loan. Each party can only read messages directed to them. Parties can upload and fax documents to the loan folder via the eMagic Message Center.

For example, a loan officer can post a message to a borrower (appraiser, processor, underwriter, other) on the eMagic Message Center. When the loan officer’s message is posted, the borrower receives an email to go to the eMagic Message Center and read the posting. There, the borrower can reply as necessary.
